Partnering with the Los Cerros Middle School PTA, Cornerstone Church, and the SRVUSD social workers, our club was able to help deliver Thanksgiving holiday meals to 60 local families. Thank you to Rene Matsumoto for handling the coordination of all the parts, which inevitably kept changing, with the flexibility and calm that you are so good at.
Unfortunately, the usual photo ops of loaded cars didn’t materialize with the rain and delays, but we all felt great knowing that these families got to enjoy a delicious meal and felt cared for by their community. This one photo of Rachel with Carl (one of the district social workers) was snapped in Dia’s garage filled with grocery bags Friday morning.
