Club Description
Dougherty Valley / San Ramon Rotary Club was chartered in 2010 becoming the sixth Rotary Club in the San Ramon Valley. We’ve changed meeting places many time over the years and currently meet in the Russell Room at the Amador Rancho Community Center, 1998 Rancho Park Loop, San Ramon, CA 94582.
Our club’s membership is quite diverse and mirrors the diversity in our community. Our core membership is comprised of vibrant area professionals and civic leaders. We are a decidedly younger Rotary club than most; about 50% of the membership is women and there are several married couples in the club. The wide range of cultural backgrounds brings a vital richness and connection to the world.
Our club has modified the formal meeting structure of traditional Rotary Clubs and has created a fresh model that fits the current trends in business and social environments.
Our meetings are informal fellowship meetings; attire is casual or business casual. The elements of a Rotary meeting are still there and our vision is to serve our local community. We are making a positive impact in health, education, and essential living needs locally, regionally and internationally through our volunteer efforts and fundraising.
